1. Definitions
"Service" refers to the MakePaySlip web application, including all related tools, calculators, and features. "User," "you," and "your" refer to the individual or entity accessing the Service. "We," "us," and "our" refer to MakePaySlip.
2. Account Registration
To use the Service, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access.
You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to create an account.
3. Subscription and Billing
MakePaySlip operates on a subscription model at $9.99 per month. Your subscription includes unlimited payslip generation, unlimited employees, and access to all features across five supported countries.
A 7-day free trial is available for new users. Payment details are collected at the start of the trial via Stripe. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your credit card details on our servers.
4. Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or the Stripe billing portal. Upon cancellation, your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
No refunds are provided for partial billing periods. Once cancelled, your access remains active until the end of the current billing cycle.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Use the Service to generate fraudulent or misleading payslips.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
- Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service.
6. Data and Content
You retain ownership of all data you submit to the Service, including company information, employee details, and payslip content. We do not claim ownership of your data.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that the information you enter is accurate and compliant with applicable laws in your jurisdiction.
7. Service Availability
We strive to maintain the Service available at all times. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may perform scheduled maintenance with reasonable advance notice.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, branding, and documentation, is the intellectual property of MakePaySlip. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute any part of the Service without our written permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
MakePaySlip provides payslip generation and tax calculation tools for informational purposes. While we endeavour to maintain accurate and up-to-date tax rates, we are not a tax advisory service. You should verify all calculations with a qualified accountant or tax professional.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MakePaySlip shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
